Cancellation Policy:
We STRONGLY recommend you purchase TRAVEL INSURANCE to protect your vacation investment against cancellation or emergency.
One night stays are paid in full at the time of reservation and are completely non-refundable. A 50% deposit on lodging is taken when your reservation is made for two nights or more. The balance of your reservation is collected 14 days prior to your arrival and is non-refundable. Our cancellation policy applies to all cancellations due to any unforeseen circumstances not limited to; dropped days, emergencies, inclement weather, and early departures that disrupt your plans to stay with us. Rescheduled trips are considered a cancelation. Trips, adventures, packages, and private guides arranged through The Lodge at Moosehead Lake are subject to the 14 day cancellation policy. Changing your reservation to another date is considered a cancellation.
Cancellations, including dropped days, more than 14 days prior to arrival will be subject to a $75.00 administration fee PER ROOM, PER NIGHT. When booking more than 3 rooms, please call the lodge for cancellation information.
Due to our small size we do not participate with travel agents, IATA, nor pay commissions.
All adventures have a 14 cancellation policy unless otherwise noted.
Additional Policies
Extra Guests: Rooms are based on double occupancy. The Mount Kineo Suite is the only room with two bedrooms that allows 4 people. Beyond 2 people, a $75 per person fee is applied daily. Please respect our maximum guests per room; this is for your safety as well as service. Guest maximums cannot be exceeded.
Pets: We are unable to accommodate pets.
Children: Young adults age 15 and older are welcome. The Mt. Kineo suite has 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen and is a great option for families. If you have more than 2 guests in your reservation, please reserve the Mount Kineo Suite or a second suite to accommodate extra guests. Children under ages 15-18 must have an adult in their room.
Check-In/Check-out: Check-in is from 3 PM-6 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If you are arriving after 6PM please message us and we’ll send self-check in instructions.
Photography Policy:
The Lodge at Moosehead Lake LOVES when our guests take selfies and pictures of the scenery. Please tag us in your Facebook and Instagram posts so that we may share. #lodgeatmooseheadlake.
We have a contracted photographer for our elopement packages. In addition, we allow wedding, babymoon, anniversary, and other special occasion photography with a professional photographer only when prearranged with the owners. For the comfort and security of our guests, all photographers must sign a release form and only photograph in designated areas during their allotted time frame.
Photographer Site Use Fee: $100 for a 1-hour time slot. Please contact the lodge for more information.
