The Lodge at Moosehead Lake Policies:
CANCELLATIONS MORE THAN 21 DAYS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL
Cancellations for any reason more than 21 days prior to arrival will be subject to a $100.00 administration fee PER ROOM PER NIGHT. Dropped days from your reservation are considered a cancellation.
CANCELLATIONS LESS THAN 21 DAYS PRIOR TO YOUR ARRIVAL
Cancellations for any reason less than 21-days prior to your arrival, you will be responsible for full payment of your entire reservation, unless we are able to resell the entire stay.
This applies to all cancellations for any reason including dropped days, unforeseen circumstances, emergencies, and early departures that disrupt your plans to stay with us. Changing your reservation dates to a later time/date will be considered a cancellation and a new booking and applicable cancellation policies will apply.
Groups or individuals reserving three or more rooms for any given date and who cancel or drop days with less than 45 days’ notice are responsible for full payment of your entire reservation unless we can sell the entire stay. With more than 45 days’ notice, there will be $100 administration fee PER ROOM PER NIGHT. (Weddings and events please see your contract for cancellation policy).
We STRONGLY recommend you purchase TRAVEL INSURANCE to protect your vacation investment against cancellation or emergency. With less than 21 days cancellation notice to The Lodge at Moosehead Lake, please contact your travel insurance agent for reimbursement of your reservation. Under no circumstances will The Lodge at Moosehead Lake refund any reservation with less than 21 days’ notice.
Activities, Adventures, and Packages canceled within 72 hours of arrival will be charged 100% of the full price. This includes any private trips with a guide.
Due to our small size and rising food costs, dining no-shows and cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged $25 per person to the credit card on file.
We are an adult destination location and welcome children ages 15 years and older.
Please make other arrangements for your pets while you lodge with us.
Extra Guests: Rooms are based on double occupancy. A few rooms have space for additional guests. The extra guest fee is $50 per person. Please respect our maximum guests per room; this is for your safety as well as service. Guest maximums cannot be exceeded.
Pets: We are unable to accommodate pets.
Children: Children age 15 and older are welcome in a select number of our rooms. The Mt. Kineo suite has 2 bedrooms and a full kitchen and is a great option for families.

Check-In/Check-out: Check-in is from 3 PM-6 PM, and check-out is until 11:00 AM. If you are arriving after 6PM please message us and we’ll send self-check in instructions.
Winter Parking for snow mobile trailers is by prearrangement only.

We have a contracted photographer for our elopement packages. In addition, we allow wedding, babymoon, anniversary, and other special occasion photography with a professional photographer only when prearranged with the owners. For the comfort and security of our guests, all photographers must sign a release form and only photograph in designated areas during their allotted time frame.
Photographer Site Use Fee: $100 for a 1-hour time slot. Please contact the lodge for more information.
