The Lodge at Moosehead Lake Cancellation Policies & Options:

NO WORRIES CANCELLATION RATE:

Your rate includes our Best Available rate plus our No-Worries Cancellation Coverage. When booking this rate, you pay an additional $40 per room per night (plus tax) over our Best Available Rate. A two-night minimum stay is required for this rate and a deposit of 50% of your total stay is required when you make your reservation. The balance of your reservation is collected 14 days prior to your arrival.

Booking with our No-Worries Cancellation Coverage Rate gives you the peace of mind, knowing that you may cancel your lodging reservation for up to 5 days before your scheduled date of arrival and receive a full refund of your lodging deposit minus the $40 per room per night (plus tax) cancellation fee.

*No Worries cancellation coverage must be purchased at the time you make your reservation.

Your rate includes:

  • Everything in our Best Available Rate (see below) and:
  • The ability to reschedule your lodging reservation one time, within one year. (Higher lodging rates prevail based on seasonality).

Exclusions:

  • Weddings, events, and full lodge bookings. (Please see your contract for cancellation policy).
  • One-night stays.
  • Adventure Packages.

Adventure packages ordered and cancelled with the no-worries cancellation rate are non-refundable and nontransferable due to seasonality. Steamship tickets and white-water rafting adventures are completely non-refundable regardless of cancellation date.

Rescheduling your reservation with no worries – With our no worries cancellation rate, you can rest easy knowing that in an emergency, you may reschedule your lodging stay with us.

Rescheduled lodging reservations:

  • May be rescheduled one time and within one calendar year.
  • Must include comparable room, same length of stay, as included in the original reservation. Higher rates prevail based on seasonality.
  • Rescheduled reservation payments will be collected in full at the time of rescheduled reservation and are nonrefundable.
  • Adventure trips and packages are nonrefundable and nontransferable to the new reservation date. You must reorder/purchase these items when rescheduling your reservation.

BEST AVAILABLE RATE:

The Best Available Rate includes the following:

  • Concierge guest services to help you schedule adventures, dining, lodging, or a curated vacation package.
  • Complimentary WIFI and parking.
  • Luxurious rooms & suites with stunning lake or garden views.
  • Daily breakfast at our onsite restaurant, 368 Maine.
  • Exclusive adventure packages booked with our Maine Registered Guides (additional fees).
  • Guaranteed dining reservations at 368 Maine Restaurant (based on availability).

BEST AVAILABLE CANCELLATION RATE:
As a small full-service inn in a remote area, cancelations are difficult to rebook. Booking directly with us instead of OTA’s will provide the Best Available Rate.

  • A 50% deposit of your total stay is taken when your reservation is made for two nights or more and has a 14-day cancellation policy. The balance of your reservation is collected 14 days prior to your arrival. No refunds on lodging, or adventure packages are given within the 14-day cancellation period. Steamship tickets and white-water rafting adventures are completely non-refundable regardless of cancellation date.
  • Cancellations, including dropped days, more than 14 days prior to arrival will be subject to a $75.00 administration fee per room, per night.
  • TRAVEL INSURANCE options are available (to protect your vacation investment against cancellation or emergency). Travel insurance options include Travel Safe or Travel Guard.
  • Should you need to cancel your reservation within 14 days prior to your arrival, please contact your travel insurance agent for refund.

Exclusions:

  • Adventure Packages.
  • Ability to reschedule your reservation.

GENERAL POLICIES

Thank you for choosing The Lodge at Moosehead Lake

  • The Lodge at Moosehead Lake is unable to accommodate pets.
  • While our parking lot is small, there is ample free parking for our in house guests and restaurant patrons. We are not able to accommodate trailers, side by sides, or campers at our establishment.
  • We welcome young adults ages 15 years and older.
  • A valid credit card is required to be on file for all reservations. Third party bookings are required to have a valid credit card on file for lodging, incidentals, adventures, and add-ons. Book directly with us for the best rate available.
  • Due to our small size, we are unable to provide commissions for travel agents or agencies.
  • One-night stays are available Sundays-Thursdays only and are completely non-refundable.
  • A two-night minimum is required for all stays Friday-Sunday. Additional nights may be required for some packages. Room rates are based on double occupancy (two persons per room). Additional fees apply for more than two occupants in the Mount Kineo Suite (maximum four people).
  • Check-in time is 3-6 PM. Check-out is by 11 AM.

Photo/Videography Policy:

  • The Lodge at Moosehead Lake LOVES when our guests take selfies and pictures of the scenery. Please tag us in your Facebook and Instagram posts so that we may share. #lodgeatmooseheadlake #368Maine
  • We have a contracted photographer for our elopement packages.
  • You may use your own photographer for weddings, babymoons, anniversaries, and other special occasion photography with a professional photographer only when prearranged with the owners. For the comfort and security of our guests, all photographers may only photograph in designated areas during their allotted time frame. 
  • Photographer Site Use Fee: Please contact the lodge for more information. 
  • Drone Usage: for the privacy of our guests and neighbors, drones are not allowed on the property for private use. Lily Bay State Park has excellent areas for drone footage.
