Q: What does your BEST AVAILABLE RATE include?
A. The Best Available Rate includes the following:
– Concierge guest services to help you schedule adventures, dining, lodging, or a curated vacation package.
– Complimentary WIFI, ROKU streaming, and parking.
– Luxurious rooms & suites with stunning lake or garden views.
– Daily breakfast at our onsite restaurant, 368 Maine.
– Exclusive adventure packages booked with our Maine Registered Guides (additional fees).
Q: Why Should We Book Directly With You?
A: Booking directly with us instead of OTA’s will provide the Best Available Rate.
Q: Do You Have a Two Night Minimum?
A: The Lodge at Moosehead Lake has a two-night minimum. On occasion, a one night stay might be allowed. Please call us if you need a one night stay. On occasion, we may have a one night stay available due to cancelations. One-night reservations are paid in full when the reservation is made and are completely non-refundable.
Q: Is A Deposit Needed To Reserve a Room?
A: A 50% deposit of your total stay is taken when your reservation is made for two nights or more and has a 14-day cancellation policy. The balance of your reservation is collected 14 days prior to your arrival. No refunds on lodging or adventure packages are given within the 14-day cancellation period.
Q: Is There A Fee For Cancelled or Dropped Days?
A: Cancellations, rescheduled dates, and dropped days, more than 14 days prior to arrival will be subject to a $75.00 administration fee per room per night.
Q: Do You Allow Your Whole Lodge to Be Booked?
A: Yes. Whole lodge bookings are available. Please call us to discuss your needs.
There is a 90 day cancellation policy for whole lodge bookings.
GENERAL QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Q: Do You Pay Travel Agents or Commissions
A: As a 9 room bed & breakfast we do not pay travel agent commissions nor participate with IATA. Guests may book directly through our online reservation portal.
Q: What Do You Require of Travel Agents?
A: So that our concierge may reach out to guests, please provide full contact information for the guest on the reservation. A cell phone number for the guest is required so that we may utilize our in house texting system. A guest email address is required for the guest to receive our emails and notices.
Q: Do You Provide Travel Insurance?
A: We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to protect your vacation investment from cancellation or emergency. Travel insurance is available as an option before your reservation check out is complete. Should you miss lodging days days due to canceled flights, illness, or other reasons, please contact your travel agent for refund.

Q: Do You Allow Smoking?
A: For the health and safety of all guests, and in compliance with State of Maine law, The Lodge at Moosehead Lake is smoke-free both inside and on the grounds of the inn. Guests who choose to disregard our policy will be subject to a $500 cleaning fee, and the inn will be compensated for lost future revenue by smokers whose smoking renders a room unacceptable for incoming guests. Violators may also be subject to a fine up to $100 by the State of Maine according to no smoking laws.
Q: Do You Allow Pets?
A: While we love pets, we are not able to accommodate them at our bed and breakfast. Service Dogs as defined under the ADA law are always welcome. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
Q: Does The Lodge Provide Bar Service?
A: Yes. 368 Maine Restaurant has a full service bar. Maine State Liquor Laws state that alcohol brought into The Lodge at Moosehead Lake by you may ONLY be consumed in your room or on your private deck and not in any common areas. Alcohol purchased from the lodge can be enjoyed anywhere on the property except for the front of the building and parking lots.
Q: Do You Have a Restaurant?
A: Yes. 368Maine, our onsite award-winning restaurant is open Mid-May-October on Thursdays-Sundays from 5-8 pm by reservation. You can reserve dinner with your lodging reservation.
Q: Do You Allow Your Whole Lodge to Be Booked?
A: Yes. Whole lodge bookings are available. Please call us to discuss your needs.
There is a 90 day cancellation policy for whole lodge bookings.
Q: Do You Host Weddings or Elopements?
A: Yes. We have both standard and premium elopement packages for up to 4 guests. Smaller weddings like Micro-weddings can host 16 guests plus the wedding couple. A full lodge booking is required for all weddings.
Q: Is Breakfast Included?
A: Yes. A multi-course breakfast is included everyday of your lodging stay. Please let us know of any dietary restrictions when you make your reservation.
PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY AT THE LODGE
Q: Do You Have a Policy On Using Drones On Your Property?
A: Yes. For the privacy of our guests and neighbors, drones are not allowed on the property for private use with the exception of weddings when prearranged with the owners. Lily Bay State Park has excellent areas for drone footage.
Q: Is There a Fee For Photography at Your Lodge?
A: Guests who lodge with us may have a photography session done only when prearranged with the owners so as not to disturb our other guests.
There is a fee for any photography session for guests not lodging with us. Please contact us for information.
Q: What Is Your Photo/Videography Policy?
A: Photographers may prearrange with the owners any photography sessions for their client.

- You may use your own photographer for babymoons, anniversaries, Weddings, and other special occasion photography with a professional photographer only when prearranged with the owners. For the comfort and security of our guests, photographers may only photograph in designated areas during their allotted time frame. We have a contracted photographer as part of our elopement package.
