The Lodge at Moosehead Lake Cancellation Policies & Options:
BEST AVAILABLE RATE:
The Best Available Rate includes the following:
- Concierge guest services to help you schedule adventures, dining, lodging, or a curated vacation package.
- Complimentary WIFI, ROKU streaming, and parking.
- Luxurious rooms & suites with stunning lake or garden views.
- Daily breakfast at our onsite restaurant, 368 Maine.
- Exclusive adventure packages booked with our Maine Registered Guides (additional fees).
BEST AVAILABLE CANCELLATION RATE:
As a small full-service inn in a remote area, cancelations are difficult to rebook. Booking directly with us instead of OTA’s will provide the Best Available Rate. Dropped days and early departures are non-refundable.
Two Night Minimum
The Lodge at Moosehead Lake has a two-night minimum.
A 50% deposit of your total stay is taken when your reservation is made for two nights or more and has a 14-day cancellation policy. The balance of your reservation is collected 14 days prior to your arrival. No refunds on lodging or adventure packages are given within the 14-day cancellation period. Steamboat tickets are completely non-refundable regardless of cancellation date.
One Night Reservations
On occasion, we may have a one night stay available due to cancelations. One-night reservations are paid in full and are completely non-refundable.
Reserving Four or More Rooms
A 50% deposit is taken when you reserve four rooms or more, and the balance of your reservation is collected 60 days prior to your arrival. No refunds on lodging or adventure packages are given within the 60-day cancellation period. Adventure packages are non-refundable if canceled within 60 days. A 20% gratuity is added for four or more room bookings.
GENERAL POLICIES
Events Fees
Due to our remote location, items for events must sometimes be ordered weeks to months ahead of the event.
Additional items ordered for your event and canceled within 60 days prior to arrival are non-refundable. This may include but not limited to any alcohol or food, specialty order items, event planners, flowers, clergy, concierge services, photography etc.
Cancellation Fees
Cancellations, rescheduled dates, and dropped days, more than 14 days (or 60 days if booking more than 4 rooms) prior to arrival will be subject to a $75.00 administration fee per room per night.
Travel Insurance
We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to protect your vacation investment from cancellation or emergency. The Lodge at Moosehead Lake is not responsible for missed lodging days due to canceled flights, illness, or other reasons.
- Travel insurance suggestions include Travel Safe (https://travelsafe.com) or Travel Guard (https://www.travelguard.com/). Please contact them directly for information.
- Should you need to cancel your reservation once the cancellation period has ended, please contact your travel insurance agent for refund. The Lodge at Moosehead Lake does not provide refunds for reservations once the cancellation period has ended.
No Smoking
For the health and safety of all guests, and in compliance with State of Maine law, The Lodge at Moosehead Lake is smoke-free both inside and on the grounds of the inn. Guests who choose to disregard our policy will be subject to a $500 cleaning fee, and the inn will be compensated for lost future revenue by smokers whose smoking renders a room unacceptable for incoming guests. Violators may also be subject to a fine up to $100 by the State of Maine according to no smoking laws.
Pet Policy
While we love pets, we are not able to accommodate them at our bed and breakfast. Service Dogs as defined under the ADA law are always welcome. Dogs whose sole function is to provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA.
Maine State Liquor Laws
A reminder that alcohol brought into The Lodge at Moosehead Lake by you may ONLY be consumed in your room or on your private deck and not in any common areas. Alcohol purchased from the lodge can be enjoyed anywhere on the property except for the front of the building and parking lots.

Photo/Videography Policy:
- The Lodge at Moosehead Lake LOVES when our guests take selfies and pictures of the scenery. Please tag us in your Facebook and Instagram posts so that we may share. #lodgeatmooseheadlake #368Maine
- You may use your own photographer for babymoons, anniversaries, and other special occasion photography with a professional photographer only when prearranged with the owners. For the comfort and security of our guests, photographers may only photograph in designated areas during their allotted time frame. We have a contracted photographer as part of our elopement package.
- Photographer Site Use Fee: Please contact the lodge for more information.
- Drone Usage: for the privacy of our guests and neighbors, drones are not allowed on the property for private use. Lily Bay State Park has excellent areas for drone footage.
