The year is nearly over and we almost can’t believe it. 2022 was full of activity and new beginnings here at our Moosehead Lake Inn & Restaurant, making the days fly by even quicker than usual. Now we’re busy readying for New Year’s Eve and wondering what surprises 2023 holds.
Our 2022 was full of wonderful guests coming to explore and enjoy the Greenville area. We saw lots of new faces, made new friends, and hosted a number of weddings and elopements. How wonderful to be a part of so many new beginnings!
Speaking of new beginnings, 2022 was also a big year for renovations and upgrades to the inn. We refreshed the Inn with new roofs, new landscaping and gardens, outdoor lighting, and repainted and redecorated the Inn and rooms. Other upgrades are also in the works, like our almost completed new bar. Why, we even updated our website in 2022!
2022 was also an exciting time at our restaurant as we welcomed Chef Tyler aboard and hosted a number of amazing chef tasting dinners. As I write this, we’re getting ready for New Year’s Eve dinner featuring Chef Tyler’s luxurious, 6-course Tasting Menu. We hope you’re joining us!
Lodge at Moosehead Lake Inn & Restaurant also received many awards and kudos in 2022, for which we are humbly grateful. Tripadvisor once again awarded us their Travelers’ Choice Award, Here Comes The Guide named us Best Elopement Wedding Venue, and New England With Love listed us us one of their “8 Wonderful Weekend Getaways in Maine,” to name but a few.
While we certainly appreciate such high-profile attention, our real focus is on the reviews and opinions that we receive from you. After all, if it weren’t for our wonderful guests, we wouldn’t even be here, so thank you all. We truly couldn’t and wouldn’t do it without you!

“A cozy and comfortable lodge tucked away in a bucolic setting, this lodge is a gem. The four coursed dinner was exquisite and we loved having a full breakfast included every morning. Outdoor adventures await, or you can gaze out at the mountain view from your room. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We had an amazing stay. “We can’t say enough about the wonderful time we had at this lovely lodge. From the time we were greeted at the door, it only got better. Bev and Larry are not only friendly and welcoming hosts, but their culinary skills are that of a fine dining experience. Their staff was so nice and attentive to anything we might need. The Baxter Suite was nicely decorated and cozy and the views from our suite, the dining area and deck were spectacular. We would love to return some day.“

“What a wonderful experience! From the time we pulled into the lodge until we left, the stay was perfect! The rooms are beautifully done and very comfortable. “Our stay at the Lodge was exactly what we wanted beautiful, relaxing and peaceful. We stayed in the Allagash room which was very cozy with the sunken sitting area and fireplace looking out onto the lake and mountains. The king size bed was super comfortable and also looked out onto the beautiful view. We had breakfast every morning in the dining room, again with a stunning view. Bev and Larry exceeded my expectations for gluten free dining in Greenville Maine! The staff was so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We enjoyed talking with each of them over breakfast. We enjoyed several games of pool in the large game room which also looks out at the lake. It was a perfect weekend away! Thank you Bev and Larry.“

“Larry and Bev the wonderful proprietors, along with Amber and Kendall were some of the best people we met on our time in Greenville. The lodge has been renovated and the moose room was a beautiful place to unwind from our days exploring in the area. Very close to the center of town yet far enough to be very quite. The breakfasts we had daily were excellent and the variety offered was awesome. we were also able to enjoy some fine dining for Valentines day which was very nice. Plan a week or a weekend you will not be disappointed. We are looking forward to returning in the summer.”

It’s wonderful fun to look back at all that has come before but even more exciting to look forward. We’re so very excited to see what 2023 holds for us.
Updating and upgrading will continue into the New Year with plans to repaint the inn exterior and, well, you’ll just have to wait and see. We don’t want to spoil all the surprises!
