2021 was a stellar year, here at Lodge at Moosehead Lake. We made a lot of new friends, opened the inn’s restaurant, expanded our season into winter, and just generally had a great time hosting guests at our Moosehead Lake Bed and Breakfast. What will 2022 hold?
Who would have thought, last January, that the year would go so fast? I guess what they say is true. Time really does fly while you’re having fun and we’ve had a blast hosting people at Moosehead Lake in 2021. Innkeeping is hard work but the rewards are many and nothing beats knowing you’ve helped someone have a great vacation.
Of course, having a great vacation is a snap, here at Moosehead Lake. The area’s unspoiled wilderness, abundant wildlife, and pristine waters make it a “must visit” destination for many, and who can blame them? The lake is picture perfect for hiking, camping, fishing, boating, skiing, exploring, wildlife photography, and so much more.
The Boston Globe certainly agrees, mentioning our area a top lake destination earlier this year. We3Travel also mentioned Moosehead Lake this year, and name checked the Lodge, as well.
In fact, we blush to admit it but our Greenville inn receives numerous accolades and mentions. In 2021, TripAdvisor honored us as part of the Top 10% of Hotels Worldwide in their 2021 Travelers’ Choice Awards. We also made the cover of HospitalityMaine!
The reviews and opinions that matter to us most come from you, our guests, however, and we are most thankful for the feedback!
2021 Moosehead Lake Bed and Breakfast Reviews
“Stellar Stay at Moosehead Lodge – We only booked one night at the lodge, but once we arrived, we wished we had booked a longer stay. We had an amazing view of the lake! Our room was very nice and the breakfast and dinner were the best meals we ate on our 11 day tour of New England. We loved Maine, and plan to return for another visit to Moosehead Lodge within the next few years. Our only negative was that we did not see a live moose! We highly recommend this lodge to anyone planning a trip to this region of Maine. Also, a shout out to the waitstaff! They were very friendly and good at their jobs.”

“Just got back from August 2021 vacation at The Lodge at Moosehead Lake and oh my what a find. The new owners Bev and Larry have really made this place top notch. Beautiful views, spectacular well equipped rooms. We stayed in the Loon rm and will be coming back. They have a top level chef and the breakfast and dinners are the best on the lake. Beverly arranged numerous activities and constantly checked in to see if we needed anything. This place is going to be rediscovered again so book while you can. You ask, they deliver.”

“My husband and I had a beautiful elopement ceremony at the Lodge at Moosehead Lake. The food was incredible, the staff was attentive and deeply caring, and the lodge was absolutely gorgeous. It was everything you would want in a wedding. Quiet, simple, sweet. The staff took care of everything from the cake to the flowers and the photographer to the officiant. They truly made it the greatest day of our lives.”
Christine Brissette – July 2021
“Beautiful, comfortable, and friendly! Wonderful view of the lake. We loved our moose safari, booked through the lodge! We saw four moose, a loon, and an eagle. The breakfasts were delicious. The jetted bathtub was also a relaxing feature.”
